Boyle's law (also as the Boyle-Mariotte law) is one of several gas laws and a special case of the ideal gas law. The law was named after chemist and physicist Robert Boyle who published the original law in 1662.

The law stated that for a fixed amount of an ideal gas kept at a fixed temperature, it's pressure and volume are inversely proportional.

Boyle's law formula can be expressed as follows:
    PiVi = PfVf
Where:
Pi : Pressure of the initiate state
Vi : Volume of the initiate state
Pf : Pressure of the final state
Vf : Volume of the final state
